KOM with Mandi

 Happy Friday friends!
It's Mandi here to talk to you about the September KOM.
I must say that this is one of my favourite kits.
If you love all things Autumn like me this is the perfect kit for you!
I used those cute wee pumpkins and that lovely sentiment on my card.
I love using white & kraft card together.

Sometimes I just want to colour my stamps and not do anything further with them.
So I stamp a whole load of images with only the intention of painting and nothing else!
It is like having your own colouring book that you make yourself :)
I also find it very relaxing just to colour!
This is my favourite image from this kit! Boots & leaves = Love!

This is your last chance to sign up for the September kit.
It is such a great value and you also get some perks like discounted past kits.
So go and sign up if you want to get your hands on this kit.

You can go here for all of the details.
You will not be disappointed if you sign up for this one it is so pretty!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Inspiration Wednesday

Hello all of you lovely Unity friends.  I'm here to share some Unity inspiration with YOU!
Did you know that one of very own design team members - Jolande - is visiting Angela and all of the other Unity peeps all the way from the Netherlands?  She is so talented and she is my inspiration for today's post.  Now, Jolande does make cards and scrapbook layouts, but her specialty (in my humble opinion) is creating tags that are simply masterpieces.  Here are just two of her creations.

Now I won't profess to come close to her skills, but along with her inspiration and the fact that there is a tag challenge going on in the Unity Show & Tell Group right now, I will share with you a Thanksgiving tag I made this week.

Even though I only used one simple Unity sentiment (from the September Sentiment Kit-Bountiful Owl), I think I'm ready to try for something more detailed.
I hope I've inspired you to create a tag or two.  Don't forget to share them in the Facebook group. Also, remember that tomorrow is the last Thursday of the month...Unity is HOPPIN' so join us tomorrow evening for lots more creative inspiration.

DT Tuesday!

I’m waving hello to you all on this lovely Fall DT Tuesday!

Today I’m sharing a 7-x-5-inch mixed media canvas I created using a sentiment from Unity Stamp Company’s September Kit of the Month, the truck-and-pumpkins image from Angie Blom’s Great Blessings kit, and a NEW stamp from one of Jolande and Marleen’s new kits.

On the above canvas, I used lots of mixed media techniques like adhering tissue paper, adding distress paint, and using distressing tools, but what makes it really come to life are the stamped images from Unity Stamp Company. I’m hoping to get started (sort of late but not really) on my Fall décor. The best time to decorate is in the season anyway. That’s usually when I finally get off my bottom and gets things going. It’s just how I’m inspired—feeling it happening around me--you know, in the moment.

What types of fall décor are you adding to your home, office, etc., this year to make things cozy and happy? Please share what you're doing with Unity Stamp Company Stamps!

I love finding projects on Pinterest made with Unity Stamp Company stamps.

Check out this beautiful card by Susie Williams that I found on Pinterest. Gorgeous!!

Here’s a link to the Splitcoast Stampers post where Susie explains how she completed the background—it’s genius!

Now I'll leave you with this lyric from a Jake Bugg song.  Have a great week!

SMAK Kit Saturday

Happy Weekend everyone!  It's Saturday and I wanted to share a card I made using this month's SMAK kit!

I love this beautiful big flower it can be used on some many things but I decided to make a square shaped card with it.   I colored the flowers using Dylusions spray inks.  I used Postbox Red and Pomegranate Seed and just used a brush to color with.  I actually love using the Ranger water brushes.

Be sure to check out Unity's monthly subscriptions!   The September SMAK kit is amazing:

Hello, Gaylynn here with the SOTW reminder.
Hopefully, this will put you in the mood for Autumn.

Look at this pretty pumpkin.  It is this week's Unity Stamp of the Week, which will be ending soon.

It includes the Fall Greetings sentiment.

The pumpkin is so pretty, I decided to make a card and a gift {wine} tag with it for Thanksgiving.

Here are more lovely creations with the kit.

Maria made this beauty.

And look how Stephanie used the kit.

This particular SOTW is ending soon.  A new kit is offered every Sunday.

Growing in Unity

Welcome to Growing in Unity!  This week Amy is up sharing her fantastic Unity creations with us.

Meet Amy:

Here is a little something about Amy:

"I am blessed with a wonderful 11 year old son and an amazing boyfriend, who both have creative sides and support me in my art. They are my world. I was more recently laid off from work which has given me more time to create and think of ways I can change my career to doing what I love....ART! I mean God gave me this "talent" for a reason, right?

I love the outdoors: exploring, camping, fishing, ect., animals, creating artsy things and spending time with my family. When it comes to creating, I have a passion for mixed media and painting on canvas. I like to get messy and mix things up by trying new things, thinking outside the box and having an open mind, which you will see when you visit my blog this week. "

Check out this great card Amy made:

Be sure to swing on by Amy's blog each day this week for loads of Unity inspiration and your chance to win some Unity goodies!

Planner Pages.. DT Tuesday

The craze of Planners.
 Well it is just everywhere..
Many of the scrapbooking industry companies
 have some kind of planner
as part of their lines now..
I have tried just a few and found that this one works great for me.
I am loving how I can incorporate all my Unity Stamps into these gems.
Whether is be on a tag, or inking on the page it self.
Here is a look into my planner pages.

The girl image above I inked up on a tag and coloured it using copic markers.
Then just attached it to my planner pages with double sided tape.
the sentiment on top I just stamped that directly on my planner.

For this next planner page I inked and coloured the images on white cardstock,
the same cardstock I use for most of my colouring. Then I used my Xyron Sticker maker
machine and this puts an adhesive all over the back of my cut out image.
I just love using this method to make the images into stickers.
Here are two samples of the Sticker Maker below. I used the second one.

This last page was one I did for last week.. I just love adding any of the Unity images
you can see you still have lots of room for your day to day journaling.
I think it is a fun way to get even more use out of your stamps.
Not just for cards and scrapbook pages anymore..
Unity Stamps can be used anywhere.. I love that !!

For DT Tuesday here is my showcase pick..
Thinking Christmas.. well
Regina J Stuart
is on the ball with these gorgeous cards.
Simply stunning.

Then Michelle Mac Dowell Araujo
just blew my mind away with this
amazing project ..
stamped these on her boxing gloves..
Brilliant way to use Unity Stamps.

To go check out lots of projects using Unity Stamps.
Go to the Unity Show & Tell page via Facebook.
You will find a friendly abundance of Unity fans
sharing their beautiful projects.

Have a wonderful creative day
